Billie Jo Retro is a three-generation family owned and operated business, founded in 2002 in Texas. Influenced by the passions of my grandmother, my mother Billie Jo inherited and pursued an affection for fashion design.

Evolving from fashion industry’s factory girl to entrepreneur, Billie Jo conceived a clothing line that combines 3 generations of interests and skills that reflects our philosophy and personalities as a whole. Today, my twin sis and I with enamored enthusiasm have joined this crusade (of a family business) that speaks of who we are. We are a contributing family of artists, designers, and Musicians: Patternmaker, Fashion and Costume Designer, Fine Art Oil Painter, Jazz musician and Genealogist. Together we have created a fashion axis that embodies our affection for the past 80 years influenced by art and music that is dynamic and beautiful.

Our inspiration for Billie Jo Retro blossomed from the likes of Rockabilly high times: the Jitterbug jive, Lindy hop, Hillbilly, Western Swing and southern spices. We like to have fun and look good while doing it. We love special projects and show one-of-a-kind pieces at our conventions and fashion shows.
